Learn English grammar(lesson 11)

 What is Future Indefinite tense?

Future indefinite tense indicates that an action has not happened yet and will take place at some point in the future.

Structure of Future Indefinite tense

Subject + will/shall + V1 + Object

Uses of will/shall

The rule is that shall is used with first person  (I and we) to form the future tense, while will is used with second and third-person forms (you, he, she, it, they). For example:

I shall eat your meal.

We shall go together.

He will run.

She will purchase the grocery.

It will happen.

They will do their jobs.

How to make future indefinite negative sentences?

To make a negative sentence we add "not" after will/shall.

For example

I shall not come to your party.

We shall not bring your stuff.

She will not buy this dress.

He will not follow the rules.

They will not complete their work.

How to make future indefinite interrogative sentences?

To make an interrogative sentence all we need is to put "will/shall" before the subject and the rest of the sentence will remain the same.

For example

Will he do this for you?

Will she pass the exam?

Will you impress the people?

Shall we arrange the party?

Shall I say what I want to?

The past perfect continuous tense (also known as the past perfect progressive tense) shows that an action that started in the past continued until another time in history. The past perfect continuous tense is constructed using had been + the verb's present participle (root + -ing).

To indicate time, references “for” and “since” are used, and it describes when the action started and how long it continued in the past.

Sentence structure

Subject+had been+the verb's present participle (root + -ing)

Let's make sentences.

•I had been walking around my house since morning.

•She had been working hard since her father passed away.

•They had been tolerating his cruelty for two years.

Learn English Grammar(lesson4)

This is my 4th lesson regarding present indefinite tense. In this lesson, I will teach you how to make interrogative sentences and question somebody. After completing this tense, you can describe the current situations.

To ask a question, you add Do or Does before the subject and verb is used with its root form it means you don't need to add "s" or "es" with the verb.

Read carefully the sentences given below.

Interrogative sentence structure

Do/Does+Subject+Verb+Object

Let's start practising

1. Do you go to the park daily?

2. Do I remember what you said?

3. Do we take medicine daily?

4. Do Amir and Taha play games?

5. Does she wear old dresses?

6. Does he pluck the flowers?

7. Does Pakistan perform well every year in                            Hockey?

You can practice this tense by asking your friends their likes and dislikes, habits and activities that you do regularly and also you can tell them yours.

Learn English grammar (lesson3)

There are few sentences of present indefinite tense.

You can learn to make more sentences.

1. He travels by bus.

2. She watches movies.

3. We go to the library at weekends.

4. They try hard.

5. You wash your clothes.

In the above sentences, you can see and learn how the verb is used according to the subject. You can make more and send me back in the comment space. I'll appreciate it.

Now I m going to start

How to make present indefinite negative sentences?

The formula for making a simple present negative is

Subject+ do/does + not + verb1st form

You can also use  "don't" for "do not" and  "doesn't" for "does not".

If the subject is

First-person.........I and We

Second-person......you and

Third-person plural......They and any noun more than one we will use " do not" to give negative-sense and

If the subject is

Third-person singular....... He, She, It and any single noun, we will use "does not" to give negative sense.

Let's start practising.

1. I do not sell books.

2. We do not fight.

3. You do not listen to me.

4. They do not follow the rules.

5. He does not climb the tree.

6. She does not think about it.

7. This ointment does not heal my wound.

8. My boss does not appropriate my work.

One more thing to be noted.

When we make a present indefinite negative sentence, "s", " es" or "ies" are not added with the verb while using the third person singular.

Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Learn English Grammar (lesson2)

After learning parts of speech, we will start our second lesson, which is about making sentences.

How to make simple sentences???

In the simple present tense or present indefinite tense, we talk about our habitual actions and tell our regular activities.

First of all, we will describe sentence structure.

 A simple sentence contains

 Subject+Verb1st form+Object

What is the Subject in a sentence?

The subject can be a noun, pronoun, thing or place.

The subject represents what kind of action(verb) is happening in the sentence, and then the Object comes.

The Object accepts the action.

Here are the examples to understand.

1. My father appreciates me.

    In the above sentence

    My father............subject

    appreciate...........verb

    me....................    Object

2. I read the newspaper.

     In the above sentence

     I.................. Subject

     Read............verb

     Newspaper......object

One more thing we use to form the simple present tense is adding

"s" or "es" at the end of the verb.

When we use " s" or "es" at the end of the verb?

The answer is that when the sentence starts with the third person singular, we add "s" or "es" at the end of the verb.

Before I tell you about third-person singular, we should know the first and second person(Subject)?

 I          first person singular

 We      first person plural

 Your second person singular

He, She, It, any single noun are third-person singular.

 They  third person plural

If the sentence starts with first or second person(singular or plural) and third-person plural, we use verbs without adding " s" or "es".

But when the sentence starts with third-person singular, we add " s" or "es" at the end of the verb.

Here is the list of third-person singular.

He, She, It + any noun.

If the sentence starts with the third person singular, we add " s" or "es" with the verb.

 For examples

 Talk........Talks

 Run.........Runs

 Speak.....Speaks

Some particular verbs end with es when we use them with third person singular.

For example

Pass........Passes

Watch......Watches

Teach......Teaches

Some particular verbs end with "yes" when we use the third person singular.

For example

Study........studies

Fly.............flies

Cry............cries

There is another rule of adding "ies."

If "y" appears at the end of a verb and there is a consonant before "y", we will remove "y" and add "ies."

If "y" appears at the end of a verb and there is a vowel before "y", we will add "s" with a verb.

Say........ Says

Stay.......stays

Play.......

Learn English Grammar

Today I'm starting primary English grammar teaching, especially for those who are interested in English speaking.

There are four levels of English grammar.

1. Parts of speech

2. Sentences

3. Phrases

4. Clauses

First of all, I'm starting from parts of the speech. There are eight parts of speech.

1. Noun

A noun is the name of any person, place or object.

For example

Playground, bat and ball, Mr Iqbal.

There are two kinds of nouns.

These are Common nouns and Proper nouns.

Common nouns are general names of things

like a bird, water, boy.

Proper nouns are particular names of things like Quaid e Azam, rose plant, Karachi.

2. Pronoun

A pronoun is used in the place of a noun. To whom you are talking about.

For example

Doctor Tahir is the best surgeon in town.

Then in the following sentences, you can use, he did specialisation from Canada.

You don't need to use his name again and again.

3. Adjective

The quality of a noun is called an adjective.

It will help if you need to describe a noun, like " a long tree" word long shows the quality of a tree, " a clever fox" word clever shows the quality of fox.

4. Verb

Verb are those words that show an action, like eat, think, speak, act.

5. Adverb

The quality of a verb is called an adverb. An adverb describes that how a verb happens.

Like there are some examples.

I did my work happily. Happily is an adverb that shows the quality of the verb.

I hardly reach my home due to heavy rain. In this sentence, Hardly is an adverb.

6. Preposition

Prepositions are words that combine words to make a complete sentence.

Here are few examples like

I put my glasses ON the table. In this sentence, ON is a preposition.

She doesn't want to enter IN the class. In this sentence, IN is a preposition.

7. Conjunction

Conjuction is a word that creates a link between your sentences to give them a flow.

For example

I like tea. I like coffee. I don't enjoy cold drinks.

Do these sentences sound good???

Now take a look at these sentences

I like tea and coffee, but I don't enjoy cold drinks.

In these sentences, And and But is a conjunction that makes a proper sentence and links with others.

8. Interjection

An interjection shows the emotion or feeling of a person. These words are used before or after a sentence.

Interjections express a sentiment such as surprise, happiness, excitement, sadness.

Like Oh, Hurray, Alas, Yahoo.

Lets Create a healthy society

Tolerance is one of the essential pillars of a prosperous and healthy society.

Tolerance means living in a group of people with patience and accept their ideology though it is different from your way of living.

Every person has different political, religious and social thoughts, and everyone has a right to live his life accordingly. However, if you want to be tolerated, you have to be tolerant.

This is a universal rule of giving and take.

To endure different ideas of people makes a peaceful environment.

Let's take a look at our own lives. Can we say ourselves a tolerant and peaceful nation????

No, we can not say.

Because we can't understand other's points of view, we don't want to solve the issues because we don't communicate to understand, but we are keen to argue to prove others wrong.

This is our social behavior. When people start doing wrong deeds with others to achieve their goals, society begins to ruin them.

What is the solution to this problem???

Starting to say that we can't be right; we can also make mistakes like another can.

Show your patience in public places, whether you are in a bank or any other institution or stuck in a traffic jam.

Try to help people in their hard times and doing small things too.

Respect others' religions and cultures so that they do the same as yours.

Do not spread hatred about social issues.

Do not spread any incident without knowing the truth.

We all are responsible for all unrest of society. Therefore, spread a sense of responsibility and educate yourself to tolerate a human-like you.

Overthinking kills your abilities

Don't think about problems. Seek the possibility to resolve it.

The problem comes with its solution. All we need is to concentrate on resolution, not overthinking.

Allah says in Quran: " Verily with  every hardship comes with ease."

This is our strong belief that Allah never leaves us alone, so don't be upset about your grief. Trust Allah and keep trying to come out of your hard times.

People who like to be primarily sad about their circumstances can't exist in the world. It is observed that constant negative thoughts vanish good human skills.

Keep making efforts in a positive direction and leave consequences on Allah. It would help if you got succeeded.

Wednesday, June 16, 2021

Let's get motivated

 Be realistic and leave emotion

It is essential to succeed; you need to do work practically. There is no way to take care of your emotions.

Who cares who are you and what are your feelings? People see your efforts towards your objectives.

People who put their feelings as their priority often get hurt. Time is running, and only a person can achieve his goals who runs with time.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with this way of thinking, but it's true. Don't waste your time doing other things. Keep busy yourself to get fruitful consequences.

Leave think about people, concentrate on your aim of existence. It will help you achieve your achievements, and the most important thing is that you will not get hurt.

                                                       Sputnik
