Its nothing like that since it is a new model... everyone posts about the crashes be it civic or corolla. Wheb the shape blends in becomes old people dont give a crap about its crash.
If you look at the damage to these cars posted in this thread it becomes obvious that they were way above 120kmph... at such speeds its more of the driver and speed factor rather then the car...
If you compare 8th and 9th gen then I would say all cars have mind of their own and will react differently at high speeds. We even same car but with more passengers react differently.
If would have believe the argument if crashes were happening under 100kmph with problems like abs not kicking etc.
Secondly this civic has front crumple zone which previous model didnt have as when it hits something the damage looks more horrible then it actually is.

All accidents posted here are severe ones. They have nothing to do with tyres. Good tyres won't save you if you're a moron driving at 160km/h on a road that permits a speed of 80. Or they won't save you if another moron crashes into you.

even in europe the crash-tests are conducted on speed way lower than we actually love to crash these machines at. no crash-test is conducted at speeds over 120kph.. acceleration of these modern light weight cars with sensitive accelerator pedals is much higher than a civic from the past.. people need to upgrade their brains too..

Very rightly said.
More over you get the same 15" Alloys with same sized tyres worldover. We cannot blame the car or its components for rash driving which is evident from the posted pictures.

I'd also want to point out that adding 17-inch wheels on a car that is designed for 15-inch ones isn't exactly a smart move. You're damaging the suspension, making the ride uncomfortable, and not to mention these oversized tyres don't even look good (subjective). Adding BMW sized tyres on a Civic deserves its own public awareness thread in my opinion.

The same car comes with 16s and 17s in international market. Using 15s and encouraging the use of this size is only a cost saving strategy of IMC whilist Euro Star does not manufacture tyres bigger then 15 inch size.

Its probably the same for Honda as well IMO. Suzuki, Atlas and IMC. All three dominating our market

Every one blame
Reckless neglected driving behaviour of drivers.
This is sure accidents happed for this reason
My point is these accidents r swerve.
Other point is all stock cars
Not even body kitted or got bigger rims
Nor even riced for reckless driving behaviour... as mostly people think for riced cars.
Mostly People point out they buy worthy cars n thinks they bought rocket or else..
m not agree with these type of comments..
I've started this post cus had experienced some thing bad already mentioned.

I dont think All the 9th gen civic crashes due to drivers fault or after market stuff but there is something wrong with the car i bet you

There is nothing wrong with the car as soon as you treat it like a family car or an ordinary vehicle. I see people are uploading videos on fb doing 150+ km/h on 2 way traffic road even without seat belts buckled on this very civc. What else one can expect?
